Is there a film term for when a movie starts and ends in the same way or the same place?
How about “the whole movie is one long flashback” or “the movie comes full circle”?
Starting and ending the same way is usually called ‘bookending’.
It can also be called a “frametale.”
As FilmGeek said, a beginning and ending like this are called “bookends”.
The cemetary scenes in Saving Private Ryan are a good example.
The paragon of this genre for me is the old 1946 British film Dead of Night. A truly amazing movie and perhaps the fountainhead for “psychological drama.”
