Movies from TV shows...much pablum but no "The Prisoner"?

If I was filming Prisoner: The Movie using the series as a basis, here’s where I would start:

Arrival - maybe 20 minutes, including a opening sequence
Chimes of Big Ben - aprrox. 25 min escape attempt
A, B, & C - 20 min
Free For All - 15 min
The Schiziod Man - 20 min
The General - a passing mention. 5-10 min at best
Many Happy Returns - cut it. chose Chimes over this episode.
Dance of the Dead - maybe 15 min here
Checkmate - definite inclusion. maybe done throughout the movie
Hammer into Anvil - shows the Prisoner getting tough. 20-25 min
It’s Your Funeral - shows the fraility of the #2s. 10-15 min
A Change of Mind - shows the communtiy running things. 15 min
Do Not Forsake Me, Oh My Darling - cut it.
Living in Harmony - cut it.
The Girl Who Was Death - cut it.
Once Upon a Time & Fallout - the finale. about 20-30 min.

So right there we have a rough outline of the arrival, 1 or 2 escape attempts, 4 attempts to break #6, 2 or 3 points showing #6’s growing strength, and the finale. The total time right now is about 3 hours and 15 minutes. After further editing it could be trimmed down to 2 hours and still give a feel as to what the TV series was all about.

Apparently, there isn’t a great demand for movies based on prententious, goofy UK TV shows from the 60’s. I’d much rather see a movie baed on “Hee-Haw.”
