Not just the two of us. WallyM7, in your 2000 post party thread, praised it as well.
I guess we’re the only three with any taste.
This was the greatest movie I’ve ever seen. Period.

My score is 32, FWIW. Seems rather lame in contrast to DRY’s post, though.
:hangs head in shame:
I’ve seen The Lion in Winter. Good film, I think, but not a great film.
I’ve seen 41 films on Little Nemo’s list of good films starting with the letter A. Are we going to use that as a supplementary test of one’s film knowledge now, in addition to my list of 200 films? Incidentally, if you use my list, use the version on the D. C. Film Society website
not the version found earlier in this thread. Somehow the one found earlier in this thread has been changed. Besides the fact that I miscounted and only put 196 rather than 200 movies on the list, somehow the post has been cut down since I first posted it. The list stops in the middle of the letter R, which means it’s missing about 50 films.
I’ve been working for years now on a supplementary list of good films in addition to my list of 200 great films. This list now goes to about 3000 films. I will be posting it to the D. C. Film Society website soon.
Here’s a brilliant response to the AFI’s abominable list. I’ve been using it as a rental guide and have learned much.
