Movies that always seem to be on tv

Sometimes I think TNT should be called the “Men in Black” network.

Die Hard comes on at least 3 times a month. A good movie, but way too many repeats.

Two Weeks Notice (comedy with Hugh Grant, Sandra Bullock) runs several times a month. I saw it last Spring and noticed it was running last week.

Steel Magnolias is on almost every time I scroll through random channels.

Blues Brothers seems to be on a lot.

A character in the film PCU (which, by the way, is another film that fits the thread) wrote his senior thesis on the “Caine–Hackman Theory”. The idea is that at any moment Michael Caine or Gene Hackman is in a movie showing on television.

Con Air is on all the time.
Oddly, The nearly identical in may mind The Rock is hardly ever shown.

Independence Day is sure to be on some channel every weekend.

The Incredibles. Which suits me just fine. IMO, it’s the everlasting gobstopper of movies.

Quigley Down Under–it comes on just about every movie oriented channel (non HBO, Showtime, etc).

What about Billy Madison/Happy Gilmore? I think in the last promo I saw they even had a dig at themselves for playing it/them so often.

For the first ten years of my life, I lived out in the boonies where I distinctly remember Driving Ms. Daisy being on almost every weekend.

Then when I got cable, it was Shawshank Redemption.

Napolean Dynamite on Comedy Central.

Roadhouse is on all the time, so are Bring it On and Save the Last Dance

Godfather I and II seemed to be on every other day for a while. Never in order, and never III. Just II and I.

TV Land is now showing what I like to call “movies that WGN got tired of showing 10 years ago”. Airplane, Top Gun, Officer and a Gentleman, etc.

Jaws
(Da dunt, da dunt, da dunt…)

Yeah, I would second that about White Girls.
