Movies with gongs.

For reasons too mundane to go into, I am in need of movie clips of gongs being rung. The Rank Organization had an intro at the beginning of their movies of a strongman striking a large gong. And (likely an homage) there’s a gong rung at the beginning of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. After that, I can’t really think of any, but I know there must be more.

Movies, cartoons, TV shows (if I must), all are fair game. C’mon, Teeming Millions, help me out here. Bonus points if it’s available on youtube.

Big Trouble in Little China

King Kong

The Pink Panther in "Gong with the Pink" - YouTube : The Pink Panther in “Gong with the Pink”

I think you need Long Duck Dong.

Sixteen Candles is the film.

‘What’s happening, hot stuff?’

Revenge of the Pink Panther

Pink Floyd - Live at Pompeii - “played” by Roger Waters.

I think there’s a rather modest gong used to open the tournament in Enter the Dragon.
In Zep’s The Song Remains the Same - John Bonham whacks a flaming gong to finish off one of the songs, I don’t remember which, and chose not to revisit to find out.

In the episode of Gilligan’s Island where they make a silent movie, the film starts with Gilligan striking a gong marked “Castaway Pictures Presents.”

The Rank Organization had an intro at the beginning of their movies of a strongman almost striking a large piece of papier-mâché with someone else striking a much smaller tam tam. (I’m assuming you want only images of the giant-ass gongs and not the many much smaller varieties, though.)

Clue. It’s rung for dinnertime.

Wasn’t there once a studio, possibly English, that used a Gong being struck, just as MGM used a lion roaring?

Venus Flytrap used a gong in WKRP (TV) as a gimmick in his late-night DJ show, I think in the first episode of his appearance, where he hits it just a tad too hard.

The Rank Organization, as noted above. The scene in Gilligan’s Island parodied it.

The President’s Analyst from 1967 is great. James Coburn plays the title character and is into gongs. Throw in Godfrey Cambridge and you’ve got yourself a movie.

But wait, there’s more: also has Pat Harrington, Joan Darling (director of First Love), Arte Johnson and B-movie queen Kathleen Hughes.

The studio with the gonger in the production opener was Rank. The guy was Ken Richmond who died several years ago. (Ninjaed!)

IIRC, Coburn’s character also had a gong in his apartment in Our Man Flint and In Like Flint.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

As mentioned in the OP.

Romantic Warriors III: Canterbury Tales contains a performance by Gong

Smaller gongs are acceptable, and in an odd way, preferred.

Wow. Great memory. I love those movies and don’t remember these.
