Movies You Enjoyed As Kids in the 80's-90's Era

There’s always the John Hughes catalog, although at least one of them predates the PG-13 rating, and they often go pretty far in testing the limits of that rating.

Somewhat parallel to the John Hughes catalog, with some overlap, is John Cusack’s 80s output. Better Off Dead, One Crazy Summer, Say Anything…

I was really into Gleaming the Cube (1989) as a teenager in the early 90s.

I believe the first two Cusack movies you mentioned were directed by Savage Steve Holland. Another of his movies was How I Got Into College, which I liked.
