Moving On After A Murder Acquittal.

I need street information from any Dopers out there who are involved with enforcing the law.

Simpson. Levy. Peterson.

Two questions.

First. Is part of the prosecution’s strategy to brain wash the victim’s family into finding the accused party guilty until proven innocent? If so, how does this backfire after an acquittal in a murder case?

Second. After an acquittal in a murder case, do the detectives, attorneys, and police officers really start looking at other leads all over again?

I posed the second question to a cop I know about the OJ case. His response was, “No, the officers’ job is done. They found the right man. Just because the jury let him go doesn’t mean the police have to pretend that someone else did it.”
