Moving to San Fran (?)

All these messages, and nobody has even prodded the whole SF/LA debate? Hold on…

San Francisco is nothing but a pale shadow of Los Angeles, the true cosmopolitan jewel of California. It’s a crowded metropolitan mess with overpriced housing and far too many porno shops, whose biggest saving grace is that it’s far enough away from Southern California so that we don’t have to put up with even more folks going to Disneyland.

(Just kidding. Well, except the porno shops, but IMO that’s a good motivation to visit SF on occassion… )

John thanks for the links!

OldScratch Yeah, we’ll definately have to hang out. You don’t happen to know any bands in need of a singer?

By the way, Seattle is much better than San Francisco. I would suggest moving there if you could (I would move back in three heartbeats if I could). But if you can’t live in Seattle, the Bay Area is a decent substitute.

Wasn’t really a Seattle fan, the weather blew. The next time I go to Washington it’ll be a pilgrimage to Aberdeen.

Never really call it San Fran or Cisco. SF is okay, but most just call it the city. At least over here in the underrated east bay. Housing is a little ridiculous, but lots of people are moving out with the recent crunch in the dotcom biz. At least, according to my friend who works at a RE agency. I’m not really into the punk scene around here, but I’m sure we’ve got what you’re looking for. Re: politics, one of the recently elected supes asked “Since when is the Jewish, homosexual rights adovacate, pro-medicinal cannibis candidate considered the conservative?”

In an evil twist of fate (which I really care not to talk about) I am not moving to SF. Let’s just say I sold out or something. Oldscratch Hopefully if you ever come to Tampa, or if I pass by the bay, we can have a beer or two… Thanks to everyone for the advice and support.
