I just opened a bunch of web pages in Mozilla Firefox simultaneously and noticed for the first time that there are two different “loading” icons. One looks like a representation of a planet or an electron (with no nucleus) moving along a circular orbit in an anti-clockwise direction. the other looks like an energy swirl or fireball moving in a clockwise direction. Is there any distinction between these two representations?
I think one swirly is while it is waiting for the initial contact with the web server, and the other is after it has made contact with the web server and is downloading content for that page. Not sure though.
Interesting. Ice Weasel gives me '‘Contacting xxxx.com when I first click on a link down in the lower left hand corner. Later I may get ‘Waiting for doubleclick.com’’
I’m pretty sure this is correct.
