I just burned a CD with MP3’s from a program called musicmatch. The car stereo manual says it will read MP3’s and any layer of folders created. Looking at the files there is a base folder titled MMDLM followed by 6 files labeled **Sort1.mau ** to Sort6.mau. This is followed by a file with the name **3fc25d62-e85d-11da-b8cc-b413d0cd4537.mm3 ** followed by **autorun.inf ** followed by all the MP3 files.
Of course the car stereo doesn’t like it. Any suggestions? didn’t find anything on the net that made sense. They all talk about converting to WAV which is not what I want to do.
Also, if you have any other kind of cd burning function that will ‘make data CDs’, this is what you want. Specify that the data you want to save is your MP3 files. That should work.
Talk about a kick in the ass. After making numerous Frisbee’s in different formats I decided to go back to square one. I took the radio manual out to the car and after rereading numerous pages of instructions I decided to look up the specs. I am embarrassed to admit this but the manual covered multiple stereo’s, and all of them except mine can read MP-3’s. Thanks for responding. Guess I’ll borrow an MP3 player to see if it works with the External CD player inputs.
