MPSIMS about your country that you have to share

You have bicycles that can swim? WOW!

** Bosda Di’Chi of Tricor ** heheheh Yep. That’s a part I forgot to mention in my trivia. So you just have to swim faster, in order to catch one.

Thanks Boofy_Bloke . I’m sure that fanged kangaroos will have the starring role in tonight’s nightmare. Horrifying.

Estilicon, did you know that the King of the Belgians does the same thing with seventh sons and seventh daughters? However, they must be the seventh son or daughter in a row, with no intervening children of the opposite sex.

Is that true? I’ve always thought Guinness was the largest, having read it somewhere.

From where I live in Panama (Panama City), the Pacific Ocean is to the east and the Atlantic is to the west. (From my apartment window, I can see the sun rise over the Pacific.) The Atlantic end of the Panama Canal is west of the Pacific end.

The Panama Canal, completed 1914, was the last major U.S. government project to be brought in ahead of time and under budget.

Nah, Guinness is nowhere near the largest brewer in the world. However, I was slightly off, too. Heineken ranks third.

Murfreesboro used to be the State capitol of Tennessee.

But then, the steamboat came.

Tennessee was an unbelievable wilderness, with game trails for roads. But the USA is greatly blessed by a wonderful system of rivers, the crown jewel of which is the Mississippi. Steam boats turned this into a transportation system that could take people to 2/3s of the USA in comparative ease.

It also turned the Mississippi River Basin system of rivers into an economic powerhouse for my country, a fact many economic conservatives tend to forget. If Russia had a comparable system that emptied into the sea, the story of the USSR’s economy might have been very different.

Well, Murfreesboro has a river, the Stones River, & in the summer, it is both lovely & cool.

But it is not navigable by anything bigger than a dory.

Now Nashville is on the Cumberland River. It is broad, deep, & very navigable.

The Legislature, being tired of getting covered in deer ticks by hiking through the woods, decided they’d rather ride in comfort, playing cards, eating hot meals, listemning to live musicians, & having a shot or two of whiskey.

The original Capitol Building is still here. We use it for a County Courthouse.
