Mr. Softee

I had asked this before a long time ago, but in MPSIMS. I figured I’d let the experts take a crack at this.

Here in the mid-Atlantic states, there is an ice cream company called Mr. Softee. Their trucks play a very distinct tune. If you ever lived here, or even visited for any lenght of time during the summer, you probably know what song I’m talking about.

My questions: Who wrote it? What is it’s name? Can I get a copy of it to put on my answering machine?

No, it’s not Turkey in the Straw. There are other ice cream trucks that play TITS (hee hee), but this is not the Mr. Softee song.
