"Mr Soul" Buffalo Springfield's fast rock version VS Neil Young's solo slow version

Which do you prefer? (Yes, I know it’s Neil on lead vocal with Springfield)

The Springfield original all the way. Neil’s solo take has a nice mood and all, but compared to the turmoil and energy of the rock version it comes off pretty limp.

Neil ripped off Keith’s “Satisfaction” for this one, so I say meh.

Can I vote for “Broken Arrow,” a much better Neil Young-penned Buffalo Springfield song which includes a snippet from a live performance of “Mr. Soul” (as a typically Neil – even at such a young age – lamenting on the vapid silliness of fame?).

I’m singin’ this borrowed tune
I took from the Rolling Stones…

 I hadn’t heard “Borrowed Tune” before…it’s a good one. Thanks, Biff!
