I have the following “classic” setup…
A form that has a record source of a table and all bound controls. The table has an autonumber field for a key.
My problem is that I want to allow the user to do a “Save As”, i.e. leave the original record untouched and create a new one.
Correct me if I’m wrong (please!), but this doesn’t seem to be very easy in Access.
Make a command button on the form and use the resulting wizard to Record Operations|Duplicate Record.

Thanks JJ, that’s a great answer. Unfortunately, I’m using a tab control and subforms so it won’t be that straightforward.
But, based upon your lead I am looking at two MS Knowledge Base articles that purport to handle the more complex situation.
