MS Access training?

Does anyone know of a good place to get MS Access training in Miami?

I’m well versed in relational database design but now I’m tasked with actually designing databasese for work and I find that working with forms & reports are tricker than with Excel.

I know that CompUSA offers training but is it any good? I need to have a list of choices before I present it for corporate approval. Anyone have experience with another provider?

thanks

Ivan

You could always go right to the source.

Microsoft Press has several books available from the Step by Step series all the way up through programing Access for a network environment.

In addition MS Certified Partners for Learning Solutions (formerly called CTECs) provide classes as well.

If your employer needs training on many different MS products you might even talk them into buying the eLearnign Library which has elearning courses on most MS products.

For a complete listing of Microsoft training on it’s Access products check out this link: http://www.microsoft.com/traincert/training/find/courseresults.asp?Audience=&Delivery=&language=en&product=Microsoft+Access&scount=0&fi=true
As a side note, if your company buys their software as part of a Select agreement and they purchased Software Assurance for that agreement, some of these training offerings may be available for free depending on the license coverage.

The Microsoft books would probably work but then I would lose the benefit of:

  1. Counting those days against my personal development yearly quota (we have to upgrade our skills x amount of days a year)
  2. A few days not at work
  3. Not having to spend my personal time on work issues
