What has to happen is for someone to finally dare to say it: Socialism is good. This is what gave us everything good in the modern world. The opposite is not “free markets”, but inherited wealth, private monopolies, privilege and feudalism. Free markets and socialism get along fine. Ask Europe. The Enlightenment and the American Revolution were socialist.
