OK, so I’m way late to the MMP - funny how life can get in the way and all that. I don’t have anything to share regarding hiking as I’m not a hiker. I like to take long walks - what’s the difference between a hike and a long walk? A stick??

I also don’t know anything about nekkid places, gay or otherwise. I’ve got no problem with them existing, but I have no desire to patronize one, and all who do should be thankful. That’s all I’m gonna say about that.

As for BBQ - that’s something I really miss being in MD. There are a couple of rib places around here that aren’t too bad, but I have yet to find a place that compares to Woody’s, the BBQ place that was just up the road from our place in FL. They had the BESTEST smoked turkey…

ummmmm, what else? Our closing date has been moved up to July 28 so we could lock in our interest rate before the Feds meet tomorrow. We don’t get the house till the 30th, since the current owners won’t be moved out till then. But we’re a month away. If you haven’t been to my UglyFest thread yet, get a move on!! This will be the social event of, um, well, that afternoon at least…

Yes, to both, but none of them live around here. And my brother is kind of, um, strange.

Will this be this year, or next?
We’re looking at spring 2005. We would get married sooner, but my gf - oops, fiance’s (I guess I have to learn how to spell that.) older sister is getting married this winter, so we can’t get married before her. We’re planning on a small, low-key wedding somewhere tropical. That way, people come come if they want to, enjoy the weather and scenery, and have a vacation plus a wedding trip. No churches, just some sort of official on a beach with a cookout (see - I’m going back to the BBQ hijack) after. The we’re going to have an east coast party for our friends over there, then a west coast party for our friends out here. It’s all about the party, really.

And since I’ve hijacked this thread in The lightingtool Thread, I’ll share more good news. I found out on Monday that I no longer have to look after two departments at work (yippeee), and then I found out today that I’m getting a raise, even though I now have less work to do. What a week (and it’s only Tuesday!).

forget about hiking. Forget about weddings (sorry, lightingtool, nothing personal you understand), forget BBQ, Dolly Parton and nude camping–just post about something. If we like it, we’re go with it, if not, just post something else! We all have to do our fair share to keep this puppy afloat. I haven’t bothered to read the story because without a doubt I would be disappointed, but I do hope to dream tonight about those pioneering nudist.

Would he still count as a nudist pioneer if he wore a coonskin hat?

I think a coonskin would be acceptable on a pioneer nudist. I’m sure it’s ok to wear a hat and some type of footwear at a nudist place that I’ve never been to, just saw a sign for. Yeah, that’s it. I saw a sign. Never went, just saw a sign.

In still other news: It’s all my fault Bumba. But I didn’t snub you a-purpose.

In yet other news: I had a weird dream last night. It was election night and Crazy Bush was trying to capture me. So I holed up in my castle as raised the drawdridge. The zombies were storming the castle so we gathered everyone (I’m not sure who all the “we” was) in the dining room and then I went out to get Eve’s cow that was left outside. I had to take a taxi to get the cow, but it followed me back to the gates on a leash. It was a very nice, well behaved black and white cow. Eve trained it well. (Eve was wearing a fox stole, by the way.) So then I was so tired I went to my bedroom (it had gas lights for some reason) and hid under the covers while John Goodman was being sworn in as President. The end.

In yet still other news: I’m taking the boys to the zoo today. I’ll probably bring them back, but I’m not making any promises.

In still yet more news: I’ve finally posted something long enough to warrant a signing. (So you remember it was me what’s wrote all this.)

But I went coding-crazy and didn’t proof read to even my admittedly low standards. I did “Preview” like three times tweeking the color choices and stuff. Just didn’t worry so much about the spelling on the actual words. But then, you sorta expect that from me.

Well, I am worried about a missing person, too. For real. :frowning: Lil Lestat[sup]TM[/sup] left Saturday on a road trip to Tallahassee to visit a friend. He said he’d be home Monday night cause he had to work on Tuesday. I haven’t seen him since. :frowning: It’s not like he hasn’t spent nites out before but there’s been no sign he’s been home for so much as a change of clothes. He doesn’t have a cell phone and I’m hesitant to call his friend in Tallahassee cause I don’t want to appear like a smothering mom of a grown up boy child…but…no sign of him this morning. I’m sure he’ll turn up and he’ll have had car trouble or sumpin (a very real possibility) but in the meanwhile, I’m…

Hi, All. Just checking in so no one has to worry about me. I hate to worry people.

Let’s see. Not that much here in the way of topics I’m prepared to comment on. I’m not much of a hiker, I like BBQ, but don’t have much opinion on it except I’m in the “liking the sauce” camp. I have never been to a nudist camp, gay or otherwise, although I do like to walk around my house un- or semiclad. My sister calls me a “naked walker”, but she considers bra and panties naked, so she’s a bit of a prude. I say bra and panties isn’t naked – the naughty bits are covered.

Still, I wouldn’t be seen in public in them. I’m not a complete hussy. Just a partial one. :wink:

So, I’ll just hijack as usual. This weekend I attended what is euphemistically referred to as a lingerie party. Oh, there was some lingerie there, but that isn’t what…I was going to say “excited the ladies”, but that might be a poor choice of words, so let’s go with: “piqued the ladies’ curiosity”. Yep, the things that interested them the most required batteries. Oh, they liked the various creams and oils, edible and otherwise, but what they liked the most were the things that required batteries. They bought quite a lot of them, according to the hostess.

One of the things had “skin” that felt remarkably life-like, but cold. Or, specifically, air temperature. You know, not warm. Like someone pulled a Lorena Bobbit, but kept the…prize, as it were. Kind of creepy, IMO.

Yes, I bought something. No, I won’t tell you what, or whether it requred batteries. :stuck_out_tongue:

Many years ago I attended one of those er…“lingerie” parties too. It was interesting. It was for couples…so Mr. Taters went too. We didn’t buy any thing that required batteries, but as a joke we did buy him elephant G-string underwear. They were red and silky. The various toys did pique a lot of interest from various party goers, but I don’t know how many were bought. Do I wanna know? I don’t think so. We also bought some lotions and rubs and stuff. That was it…

You know, earthpuppy, I don’t know off the top of my head. I had the catalog in my purse for a couple days, but took it out for fear it would fall out or I would pull it out in public looking for my keys or something. I will have to have a look when I get home, and see. Even if there’s not a website, I would be happy to e-mail you the company name, etc. Maybe there’s a rep in your area.
