I’m looking for a method to download a list of webpages that I visit every day, and have them saved on my hard disk in one document, preferably an .mht archive file, or something similar.
The aim is to be able to open this one file, once it’s been refreshed for the day, and read it offline – ideal would be to just be able to scroll down and see each webpage below one another, like a single webpage; or a webpage that could quickly navigate to the next one by pressing an navigation arrow.
I don’t want to have to click a link for each page I want to visit, the pages should already be arranged sequentially in the single document or archive. And they should all be pre-downloaded.
I’ve tried WebZip, which kind of worked, but it seemed too complicated – loaded way too much linked data – I just want it to display the current page and all images that are displayed on that page. If I want to go to a link from that page, I would expect the links to work with my regular browser.
Internet Explorer 5 “kind of” worked this way, since I could place a list of urls in a folder, select them all, and select “open” and it would open each link in a separate window. IE 6 apparently eliminated this possibility, since when I do this, it just opens the first one on the list.
Any ideas? The simpler the better. Shareware is acceptable, although it would be great if it could be done with standard web browsers or self-programming.
