It isn’t a Mummers, but L.A… has had the Doo Dah Parade Doo Dah Parade - Wikipedia for quite some time.
My personal favorite was alway the Toro drill team. Each marcher was equipped with a Toro rotary lawn mower. 30 of those dancing to & fro & performing precision drill in full song is an experience not to be missed.

You have them in Ireland too?
Where I’m from, they used to be nothing like the Philly example - they were a small, costumed band of players that would come round the pubs around Christmas-time when I was younger, perform a set piece about St. George slaying the dragon, then get free drinks and bugger off to the next pub. Closely related to Morris Dancers I think.
Similar stuff here, went from house to house too. Also called Wren Boys in parts of the country. Not common but not unheard of in Dublin anymore. Still bits and pieces down the country but not nearly as common as it used to be.
it was closer to the irish tradition when it started. mostly a south philly neighbourhood thing. where they played around the 'hood and two street.
then this group got together, then that group, and the other group.
now it has corporate sponsers and unbelievably expensive costumes. they do appearances all over the place.
including dublin ireland. quaker city goes there often, the captain robert shannon is very proud of his irish heritage.
if you happen to see a 6’10" guy walking around dublin in fancy dress that would be the captain.
morris dancers are a bit scary as well… although you do have some warning, they can’t exactly sneak up on people.

He’s retired. He was in the booth for about a half hour doing commentary during the string bands.
…and then throw you up on someone else’s shoes. Some of those feathered guys are feeling no pain whatsoever.
