At least you didn’t use that horrible elephant that is on the show now. He grates on my nerves so bad!! But you could have added sweet Abby Cadabby. We love her at my house.
In hindsight, I think I set the deadline for this first round too far out.
Combined with the fact that I’ll be on vacation from the 6th through the 14th (and away from the internet), and further combined with the fact that there have been no new votes in the last 12+ hours, I’m moving up the voting deadline for Round One to tomorrow afternoon. I’ll get the results and 2nd round match-ups posted soon thereafter.
The second round voting will go from Wednesday afternoon to Saturday evening, which should give me time to post the third round before I leave. You’ll have to put up with a longer delay between the 3rd and 4th rounds, but that’s just the way the fraggles rock. Hey, it’ll give you more time to get your friends to vote in what should be some tough 3rd round battles.

Round One of Muppet Madness is now complete. I will be posting the brackets for Round Two shortly. Some notes on the round:
There were no ties, so I did not vote.
Kermit the Frog scored the only shutout of the first round.
The Elmo haters couldn’t quite muster the strength to lift Wayne to an upset victory; the little red guy moves on.
#7 seed Zoe was crushed – CRUSHED – by #10 seed The Newsman. The Selection Committee would like to note that Zoe’s high seed came almost entirely from her numerous appearances on his daughters’ diapers and pull-ups.
Two contests were decided by only two votes: Elmo vs. Wayne, and #9 Zoot edging out #8 Sweetums. Jazz > Huge.
