Back in high school, my friends and I played one of the “How to Host a Murder” games and had a really great time. Now that I’ve just finished college and finding I have way more time on my hands than I should, I’d like to host my own murder with my college buddies, but I definitely don’t want it to be disappointing (especially when the sets are at $30 a pop). I’ve heard that some of the sets are hit and miss, and so I thought I’d ask all you great Dopers out there what you think are some of the better games.
The one I played in high school was “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly”, a western-themed murder that we all enjoyed, but as I’d like to participate, I would rather pick a different set. As college students (or recently graduated college students), we’d probably enjoy a game that’s funny, fairly raunchy, and exotic enough that we can all get into it.
So anyone played any of these games and found it enjoyable? I’m also open to other brands or whatever, just as long as it’s fun. Thanks in advance for your advice!
