A few years ago a public museum in (I think) a southern state arranged an exhibit of early twentieth century advertising which portrayed blacks in predominantly servile roles—Aunt Jemima, Rastus, Uncle Ben, etc. Local African-Americans expressed offense and forced the museum to cancel the exhibit. Does anybody know what museum this was? I read about it on CNN when it happened, but a search of their site and a general Google search isn’t turning anything up. Where was this?
