Congrats!!!1!!!1! . After our many postings in your several threads about your sicko job situations I’m soo happy to hear you’ve fixed that for good. And with the shop humming along nicely to boot. Yaay!!!

Aug 2020:
So my employer made me self quarantine for 10 days (I’m not sick).
Been sit’n at the house going absolutely stir crazy. I’m actually jonesing to get back to work now. It’s left me thinking at 50 years old: I don’t want to retire.
Of course, 15 years from now when I actually do retire, It’s entirely likely I’ll look back on this thread and laugh.
Sep 2020:
After over 41 years as a working electrician/fire alarm technician I have finally retired. I don’t really have any hard and fast plans. I plan to up my cooking game quite a bit and there are a few projects around the house I will finally have time to do.
It is strange. I was laid off for a couple of months in the winter of 1973, but except for that I have had a job for 53 years

Was laid off a few months ago, I didn’t mind. I had become tired of my job and where I was living, took it as an opportunity to move and look for a new job. A little vacation where I could sleep in and relax and binge-watch and read a lot.
