i can tell by 9am if my mutual funds are going to close higher or lower than the previous day. if the fund’s 10 top holdings are up a half hour into the trading day, they stay up. if they’re down, they stay down. why is that? why can’t they take an unexpected turn during the day? is there some known economic principle is at play here?
