MVP, Oscar, or Nobel Prize

Definitely Nobel Prize. There are a lot of unimportant, anonymous Oscars given out, and I’m not into sports.

MVP for the money that goes with it while you’re young. hey, you have all the time to work for a nobel after you’re 30, right?

the poll should have included a british knighthood.

I picked the Oscar, mainly because I’m a film geek, and I’d get the chance to see how it’s all done. And given the hypothetical in the OP, be talented enough to do it. Best Cinematography Oscar, if you please!

I picked Oscar. I guess it would have to be for “Best Original Screenplay” since I think my writing’s got the best shot at an award. Not that my writing’s great, but it’s better than anything else I’ve got that’s Oscar-worthy. Sure, they give out the Nobel Prize for Literature, but my writing ain’t like that. They don’t give out Nobels for comedy.

Winning an Oscar for acting would be cool, and I’ve done a little community theater, (emphasis on “little”) but again, my writing is better than my acting.

A major league baseball MVP would probably be worth more money in the long run, so I’ll take that. I want the money.

If I had to be MVP, it would be in basketball, because I think they are the best athletes among the major league players.

If I had to win an Oscar, it would be for producing films, because producers play with the BIG money, and starlets are trying ever so hard to get cast in their next big films. :stuck_out_tongue:

If I had to win a Nobel, it would be for chemistry, 'cause I I would want to blow stuff up real good!

Kinda ironic, isn’t it?

Nobel, but only because you don’t have the Grammy (or any other music award) up there. I enjoy acting, but the fame wouldn’t be to my liking. And I in no way want to play sports.

Nobel.

It was not specified what type of Oscar. If it were a ‘Lifetime Achievement’ award, I would have had a more difficult choice between that and the Nobel Prize. Though they are not set out as such, the Nobel Prizes tend to be more like lifetime achievement awards, making them much more impressive than ‘Best Actor of Year X’ in my opinion.

I probably still would have gone with the Nobel Prize, but having Jack Lemmon’s talent, graciousness and career would be pretty compelling.

Also chose Oscar - and would hope it is in screenwriting.
Most likely got a nice chunk of change for the script, would now have more opportunities to sell more scripts, and could reach an audience of millions with those scripts.

I’m in the movie business. An Oscar would be very cool. A Nobel would be cooler, but not available in anything I could even remotely be good at (except Literature–still quite a stretch).

Nobel prize, for something unexciting, esoteric, and obscure.

That way, I get the money, but won’t attract the attention of the crazies.
