If you do not chose God through His Son Jesus, you have chosen Satan by default.

Get it?
That very idea leads then to the inquisition and other bad things that were made in the name of the lord. Suffice to say I do not think that is a useful nor kind retort to say to anyone that follows other religions or has no faith.
Good thing that Christians (and many others that twist religion) lost their best argument for belief when they lost the right to burn others.
I thought you claimed to be a Catholic – the Catholic church accepts evolution. (Hint: the word “theory” doesn’t mean what you think it does. You wouldn’t say that germs don’t exist, or that they’re “merely a theory”, even though that’s exactly how it’s phrased in a scientific context)
And the NKJV is a Protestant Bible, is it not?
I think there’s a logical fallacy in there somewhere.

Actually no, if you reject the Dharma (the teachings of Buddha) then you are condemning yourself to a never ending series of lives of suffering. However its ok Buddhism is a more forgiving religion than Christianity, eventually you will accept the Dharma and reach Moksha (release from the wheel of karma), it just takes some people a lot longer than others.
Samyutta Nikaya I, 163
I kept my Dad’s classic KJV which includes the material that Protestants consider apocryphal, as well as Bel & the Dragon, which I believe is in neither. That bible would be suitable for a Catholic to use – but the differences are in the OT, which is mostly not central to most christian doctrine. I would assume that the NKJV can be had with the apocrypha included as well.
You obviously do not know the meaning of the term scientific theory. Evolution is not “merely a theory”; it is a theory, a scientific theory. That means that it’s not some lame opinion.
Do you mean the acts or do you mean the same-sex attraction itself? If it’s the attraction, that’s an odd definition of sin you have. But, hey, it’s not like you haven’t put some other odd definitions forth.
Do tell. And your scholastic…er, academic credentials happen to be?
Is the biblical account the literal word of God? Did God create Adam from dust or did humans evolve? How old is the Earth?
This is one reason that conservative Christian churches will continue to lose members as people realize that the teaching against this are as archaic as the racist teachings of the past.
Do you believe in the inerrancy of the bible?
Consider that the tenth commandment says thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife, or his ass … I get the impression that that part was put in there in order to fuel the debate over whether yearning to sin is as bad as actually sinning.
So Bobby Darrin is your god?
I’m dismayed how y’all have descended into nitpicking the OP’s cherry-picking, You should be ashamed of yourselves. Y’all know exactly what you want to ask, I’d’a thought you’d just ask it instead of pussyfooting around the issue. But when it gets to this point:
… I know it’s time for me to step in.
Was our Most Holy Savior’s bellybutton an innie or and outie?
What, in your opinion should we have done?
Catholic.
Are you a layperson or a priest? Does that make a difference? My very limited understanding is that only priests are allowed to preach the gospels, and that laypeoples don’t have direct access to God.
Isn’t the current Pope reaching his hand out to the Islamic world seeking fellowship and brotherhood?
My thoughts on the Halo
The Holy Spirit appears to be revealing to us through the Halo that He is the breathe of life given to all mankind in the very beginning by God.
This is not to be confused with the life Christ gives us through the Spirit of truth.
Genesis 2:7. And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breathe of life; and man became a living being.
The term “Spirit” translates the Hebrew word ruah which in it’s primary sense, means breathe, air, wind.
I believe the following to be the best explanation for the Halo;
The breathe of life went into man’s nostrils and is located over and throughout the brain giving us life. Hence, the Halo is over the head, representing the Holy Spirit giving us life. And without the breathe of life, the brain would not function and we would have no life in this world. The breathe of life is connected to our spirits by the silver cord. When the silver cord is loosed, we are cut off from the breathe of life, the brain dies, we become disconnected from our bodies, and no longer part of this world.
Ecclesiastes 12:6-7. Remember your Creator before the silver cord is loosed, Or the golden bowl is broken, Or the pitcher shattered at the fountain, Or the wheel broken at the well. Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it.
The Halo would be the Holy Spirit’s rightful place in revealing to us that He is the breathe of life given to all mankind in the very beginning by God and thus the Halo does not have to be limited to Christianity.
A proselytization exam, of course…
If you’re a man, women should get a pap-shmear.
I am a lay person. A priest would have a greater education in theology than I would. But most would lack the experience and insight into some scripture that I have.
I wish that I had chosen the priesthood as a young child. With faith comes revelations from heaven. And with knowledge comes understanding.
All disciples are allowed to preach the gospel. All mankind has access to God.
I am not up on the current affairs of the Church. But, I have seen many testimonies of Muslims converting to Christianity on account of Jesus appearing to them.
On what basis does Jesus choose the people he will appear to?
