Rewards are given to those who do good works in their lifetimes. Considering that hell is the worst thing that could happen to a person and salvation, the greatest. Works that test against the fires of hell would be eternal and of the most value. Upon the end of ones mortal life, the person would receive more of the Holy Spirit…have powers and be able to see through the many eyes of the Spirit including the ones in the future. The human would be recreated to be a higher being, very much like the higher angels.
I disagree, Jesus would not be reaching out to the Muslims to convert to Christianity if this were so. Islam teaches falsely. Jesus is the Son of God. And the Holy Spirit is not the archangel Gabriel.
Think of it as an insurance policy. Although one must believe with the heart and be sincere. If it all turns out to be true. And it will. You will be going to heaven to be with God, Jesus, the angels, family and friends. Eternal happiness trumps eternal misery every time .
No, that’s not what Matthew 5:11-12 says at all. It says salvation will come to those who are persecuted in Jesus’ name, not those who silently choose god.
