I’m so terribly sorry. Take care of yourself and your mom, we’ll be praying for you.
My deepest sympathies to you and your family, Shirley. I watched my mother die of ALS and know some of what you’ve faced, but by no means on such a scale as you and your family are dealing with. I can imagine your anger and sorrow at the situation. Prayers for you and your Mom for some kind of peace, understanding and strength in coping with all of this. And prayers for your remaining brother, as well.
Peace and healing be upon you, Shirley. I am sorry for your loss.
Shirley, I’m keeping you and your mother in my thoughts.
Be strong for her, even if it is a lot to ask of you right now. Take care.
My condolences to you and your family, Shirley. Thank you for sharing, you’ve touched my heart. Life certainly is not fair.
Hang in there. You and your mother and brother are in my prayers.
My thoughts are with you and your family. May he rest in peace.

You and your mother are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love and deepest condolences. Gazelle
I’m so terribly sorry to hear of your loss and even more sorry to hear of the long suffering that your family has had to endure. I do want to assure you that a feeling of relief, for both your family and for your brother, is absolutely appropriate right now. I believe your brother is now both in the hands of a spectacular caretaker and with other family, so you have no need for remorse!
I also want to tell you that, even though I’ve never met your or your mother, that I admire you greatly. To be able to weather the hardest storm and come out a stronger (and yet still classy) person is most admirable; we should all be of such resilient character.
I’ll be praying for you, your mother, and your brother, and (if you’ll let me) be rejoicing that your brothers and father are together again - Take care.
My deepest condolences, Shirley (which I know isn’t your real name, but I can’t remember what it actually is and somehow it feels weird to call you Shirley right now). I think about you and your brothers from time to time and have wondered how this brother was doing – I almost included you in my most recent request for updates thread, but I was reluctant to dredge up something so potentially painful for you. I’m always amazed at your strength, resilience, sense of humor and zest for life in spite of the incredible burden I know must weigh on your heart much of the time.
My heartfelt sympathies go out to you and your family. May you continue to find strength, comfort and joy in your life. And tell your mother I’ll be cooking up a nice fat cow in her honor!
Rest in eternal peace, Tom.

My thoughts are with you and yours in this time of grief, Shirley.
When things get to be too much and when your thoughts turn dark and bitter just close your eyes and imagine all of our arms wrapped around you in loving embrace and know that we are there for you, if only in spirit.
