I won’t even bother to ask if any of you remember this toy from the 80s. I would like to ask if anyone has a link to a wav or mp3 file of the theme song from the television commercial.
That song was so horrifically catchy that most of my friends can still sing it by heart. I was hoping for the original version but have had no luck on google thus far.
I have to imagine it was the inspiration for those cheesy “Chucky” flicks as well. How did the “Kid Sister” theme song go ? I dont seem to remember that one as well.
Remember it? Hell, I HAD one! And, despite my best efforts, the damn thing just wouldn’t break. No torn cloth, no amputated limbs… just a few stains. I coulda dropped a nuclear bomb on the fucker and it would’ve come back for more…
Hell, there were only four words. “My buddy, my buddy, my buddy, my buddy… my buddy and me!”
I don’t mean to scare you, but I just saw one of these in the store, made my Little Tykes. I dunno if it’s the same thing, but it’s basically a doll for boys. And it’s big. Big enough to star in its own horror flick.
I read this thread about 15 min. ago. I remembered the doll, and the commercials. I walked away from my pc, seemingly unaffected by the memory of the old jingle…
but, Lockfist, YOU SICK LITTLE MONKEY, I can’t get that song out of my head now!
I might need to get a hold of the mp3 too, to help exorcise this song from my subconsious.
Sick little monkey ? Me ? While I try to figure out if thats good or bad I will say I’ve had no luck with my OP. Nothing on google, I though one of the eBay sellers would have the song on the auction - no dice. I can’t even find anything on the P2P networks I frequent. I’m on a mission now…
Mirth, you are one of those tortured souls arent you. I noticed you got the "best friends that can bee-e-e-e-e-e-e in the perfect pitch. Come on SPOOFE and mobo85, sing along now - I know the melody is starting its endless cycle in your head as we speak.
CrankyAsAnOldMan, I suppose you had a good reason for perusing the boys toys department but if I may offer a word of advice, stick to the STAR WARS dolls. If anything, they’ll be worth more money in 10 years and their theme song is a helluva lot cooler.
