Food allergies maybe can cause it, but I’ve never heard of any relation between dietary deficiencies and feline acne. It’s generally a cleanliness issue, very common, and very easy to avoid by switching from plastic and making sure the dishes are clean.
My cat gets these. I usually just check them to make sure they are not an infected scratch (since my cats get into it sometimes). If it’s not, I will generally pop it if it hasn’t gone away in a week or so.
She doesn’t particularly like this but she likes the snuggles and the treats that come with it.
Yeah, if diet is an issue, it’s probably only in a fraction of cases, and the other causes are the case most of the time. Wikipedia doesn’t list it as a cause.
Three out of my four cats are utterly convinced that they don’t get NEARLY enough turkey. The fourth one, the oddball, doesn’t like much in the way of people food, but he’s happy enough with crunchy kibble and the occasional treat of canned cat food. All four cats are unanimous that they don’t get enough tuna juice. So maybe your cat isn’t getting enough tuna juice and turkey? Ask her about it.

The one I first noticed acne on (cream (sandy orange) tabby) won’t touch meat. But when we were making a big bowl of tuna, she did an out of character attempt at theft right in front of us.
I can’t pop theirs. It’s like a bunch of tiny blackheads. Also, two other cats (black and gray) may have had them for some time but hard to notice.
