I’m so sorry to hear that you lost Ugly. It’s hard, even when you know that it’s going to happen.
I second winterhawk11’s advice. We did that when we lost Roger, and it helped a lot. Just writing down all the things we could remember helped us feel better at the time, and it helps us now to know that we won’t forget about all his funny little quirks.
I hope your sadness turns into happy memories soon and that you’ll be able to think of Ugly without regret. It sounds like she loved you and knew she was loved in return.
i can not even begin to imagine what you are going through right now. My kitty that I adopted 2 weeks ago, just went on a big girl slumber party (at least thats what i told her) to get her eye removed due to herpetic corneal ulcer complications. I’ve been crying and on the verge of vomitting all day, even though I’ve been told she will live through it and grow up to be a “strangely” healthy cat.
My prayers go out to you and everyone affected by the loss of your catchild.
I never thought I would be so emotionally attached to a cat after 2 weeks, I cant imagine the bond after several years or even a decade that I will have with her.
My favorite time with her is bedtime, she sleeps either on the pillow next to the top of my head or stretched out with her front legs on my face with her head in my arm pit.

Analogue Skywalker, what you will end up with is an adorable, healthy kitty that looks like it’s winking. Or like a pirate. The result won’t be ugly at all, and the kitty won’t mind, with those wonderful whiskers to help her get around. Good luck.
