He doesn’t seem to like it very much when I muss the fur that he spent the past five minutes licking.
Pardon me while I search for some alcohol.

Mine do that too… and they bite, I think it’s cute that they get so grumpy about it!
hee!
Can you grab me a Guinness while you’re at it, ta muchly!
One of my three cats LOVES when you do that to him. The other two will gently remind you that they don’t like it. Then, if you don’t stop, they will shred you.
Funny, one of our cats, Nightmare, doesn’t use petty excuses to shred you.
She does it out of sheer enjoyment.
Our cats can’t scratch. We’re mean and had their front claws removed.
But they can deliver the nastiest dirty looks you’ve ever seen!

Cat Scratch Fever!

Sorry, man. You’re gonna die.
Speaking of alcohol and cats…In my younger days I once put a cat in an open beer cooler and floated it in the center of a pool. It was great fun watching the cat try to decide what to do. Eventually, the cooler floated toward the edge of the pool and the cat jumped for it. He didn’t quite make it though.
My cat’s breath smells of cat food.
Sorry, but someone had to do it. I don’t even have a cat.

My cats scratch me because they want to get on my lap. Unfortuntely, they think my legs are meant for climbing so they’ll dig their claws into my leg and scratch me on the way up.
As far as not liking water, my cats seem to be fascinated with it. My first cat, Athena, didn’t like to be towel dried, but she didn’t mind getting a bath. She just sat in the tub and let us bathe her. Once we dried her as best as we could, she would run and hide from us until she was dry. Zoë and Sasha are not related to Athena or each other, but they are also fascinated with water. They love to get into the sink, hand around the bathtub when you’re bathing, and try to drink water out of the toilet. Neither one of them seems to mind getting wet. I tried squirting them with a watergun when they misbehaved, but they would just turn and look at me before going back to whatever they were doing. They don’t like it if I clap my hands so when they’re bad, I clap my hands and yell at them to get off the table, get out of the trash, etc. Usually just the clapping will get their attention and they’ll stop what they’re doing and run away.
Sorry. I didn’t mean to ramble.
I got back this morning from looking after FOURTEEN kittens at a local rescue agency. (The kittens are in their office, after being dropped off by people who haven’t bothered to get their cats fixed.) Sharp little kitten claws everywhere! Eeyow!
But ya know, it’s worth it; when I left they’d all been petted and played with and had clean cages and boxes and new food and water. And they’re so cute I can hardly stand it!
