Scout is my shelter adopted baby and Lucy was the Maine Coon breeder’s runt. They both run nearly 20 lbs apiece now.

We have this guest bed where the critters like to snooze because it’s right next to a big window that catches a lot of sun in the afternoon. Apparently cats make nice pillows.
Also, I took this great bunch of pictures of cat spooning,* but Poe blends into the chair. How the hell do you take good photos of a black cat, anyway?
*I believe the expression on Grendel’s face translates to “I keel you!”

UPDATE: After being who knows where for over a week, she came home!! Around 1 a.m. I thought I heard her distinctive “mrrrew?” And sure enough, there she was at the back door! She is awfully thin, and she has a couple small scratches that are pretty much healed(no inflammation or anything), but she is eating ravenously and prancing about and purring like there’s no tomorrow! Judging by the amount of time she’s spent on my lap/flopping on her back at my feet/headbutting me, I’d say she’s just as happy to be home as I am to have her back. 
Yay!
