My cell phone dials the wrong 911 dispatch. Can I fix?

So, if I’m sitting in my house, and I call 911, the phone connects to an adjacent suburb. When the operator answers, I have to tell her, I’m in Dallas. The operator then has to redirect my call to Dallas.

Being that my cell phone is my only phone, I’m not completely cool with this. Is there somehow a fix for this?

You can let your carrier know. But not really something you can change. Which 911 call center the call is routed to is based on the location of the tower. Your house must be right on the boundary between two towers, and your phone is preferring the wrong tower.
