They replaced the old double hung windows with vertical sliding ones.
They walled in the old carport and added an overhead door. Silliest looking garage you’ve ever seen, but it works I suppose.
The maple tree twig I planted in the back yard when I was a little kid is about 50’ tall.
They paved over that chunk of lawn next to the driveway that never grew worth a damn.
The TV antenna I put up when we sold the place (to justify ham radio antenna tripod on roof) is still there, still on the chunk of fence rail I found in the backyard.
I wonder if they ever got the solar panels my dad was messing with when he died to work?
The neighbors are taking lots better care of their yards than I ever remember. Glad to see the old neighborhood isn’t in decay.
Before my mom died eight years ago, she was developing hoarding tendencies. My brother has the same tendencies. I can glimpse the backyard a bit, and I see that junk is starting to accumulate. Oy.
Trees that were saplings when I was a kid are now huge. I can see that a few homes in the neighborhood now have security screen doors on them. A gully/storm drain area has been filled in and an office building is in its place. I used to catch tadpoles there when I was a kid; we called it “pollywog pond”.
The home I lived in from 0-11 has been a vacant lot for at least 20 years; but something must be in the works because Google Earth shows a huge earth moving piece of equipment.
The home I lived in from 11-20 was a vacant lot the last time I checked GE and was since the first time I checked. It was a 3 decker. When I checked just now it shows a really cute 2 story single family house. They moved the driveway to the right side; but the old original garages are still there. A mail man is walking past.
