My Dad Wrote A Porno - podcast

Almost at the end of season 2 and no thread?
If you haven’t heard this joy, each episode is two friends listening to a third read a chapter from an erotic novel his dad has written after retirement from a life in sales. That isn’t a fictional set-up - but hopefully Rocky Flintstone’s (the author’s nom de plume) description of the erotic world of Steel’s Pots and Pans is fictional.
On itunes, it is amazing and hilarious.
My favourite aspect is the 3 friends relationships (next is how sexy Alice’s laugh is).
Any other Belinkers out there?

I’ve not heard of it but sounds like it could work. So many frikkin podcasts.

I love this podcast, been telling everyone IRL about it. Sounds like a lame premise, but the commentators make it all worthwhile. That and the occasional mentions of cervixes.

Wow - I’m amazed this hasn’t had more responses - Girl From Mars will know that it’s popular in the US - the guests on the Footnotes to the show have included unabashed fans Rachel Bloom and Elijah Wood - also Daisy Ridley!
I didn’t explain it’s a British show discussing sex, with the inherant discomfort that entails, as well as the fact that the so-called erotica is appallingly written and in no way sexy!
The book that is read is called ‘Belinda Blinked’ and is available to buy as an ebook. Don’t bother - listen to this podcast. But do so where you can gaffaw in peace!

Just finished season one. This came out of nowhere for me and I’m usually hip to the latest haps, if you know what I mean.

Hilarious if a bit repetitive over several hours. The dynamic between the three of them is tremendous.

If you don’t binge them, you don’t notice the repetitiveness. (And really, it’s not them, it’s Rocky’s writing).
It really is hysterical - both in the awfulness of the writing and their commentary.

I tried to listen to this via iTunes, but every episode seems to be the same and starts with “I’m just coming to terms with my dad writing a porno, a year in,” which confused me a lot when I started listening to the first episode. Is there a problem on iTunes, or is it just my system? I’ve tried deleting and re-downloading, but it did the same thing.
