I took Angus to the park yesterday and dozens of kids loved on him. Then I took him to the video store, where he was a magnet for squealers of all ages. Then he and I went to the convenience store to get a soda and the clerk gave him a milkbone and some more lovin’.
Today he has an apointment with the vet. I have a list of about 100 questions to ask the doctor. He’s going to roll his eyes and sigh when I leave.

Some Greyhounds get along fine with cats (and I even know someone whose Greyhound gets along with her house rabbits!). I had one that was cat-friendly, and I have another now who I think would do fine if we brought a cat in. The other one, though … no. He’ll chase anything that moves, even things that are bigger than him.

You should get some videotape of your pup with his Greyhound friend. Pups grow up so fast! It’s a way to keep Angus as little one forever. I have some videotape of a couple of my dogs with a visiting doggy friend, and I am so glad I have it now, since the older one in the tape has passed away.
I testify to greyhound/cat compatability. The couple next door, a three-cat household, recently added Hunter, a retired greyhound. Cats are still alive; I saw one in the front window this morning!
I’m always suprised when vet clinic and kennel people squeal and make over my Molladoochus. After all, they see cute dogs every day. But my Molly, I guess, is just the cutest, smartest one they’ve ever seen! She’s a border collie mix. I love it when she herds me.
