but my favorite by far: Alma-Tadema

I’ve just realized something a bit weird about myself: I have no favorite artist(s). There are some that I tend to like more than others, but while a van Gogh landscape or one of Frida Kahlo’s many self-portraits might move me one day, I could look at them the next day and feel nothing. To me, they’re all just the view outside my mental window, and my preferences shift and change with my state of mind.

At this moment, however, I’m really liking this oil painting by e.e. cummings.

At the risk of sounding odd, my favorites are a bit different than each other.

I love Michael Parkes stuff, and I also really like Charles Wysocki’s art. The piece that speaks to me the most is a Picasso(I think, could be someone else) ink drawing of Don Quixote. It just amazes me that he could put that much feeling in a few lines.

Wow, Skopo Impressive and varied list. To have Jeroen Bosch, Pieter de Hoogh and Kandinsky among your favorites is very unusual.
Second Guest I never knew ee cummings painted as well. Thanks.

While I like many of the more traditional artists mentioned above (and let me add Rodin), here’s an unconventional choice: Chesley Bonestell
