My first rant: pitting my son's preschool

Sorry for the late response to this, but I just wanted to caution that carlotta may not want to involve the school district at this point. The reason is that once your child has a “label” slapped on him, it stays with him. Sometimes a label becomes a point of contention when the parent wants to mainstream their child and the administration wants to put him in an alternative classroom. Having an official diagnosis in this case can hurt you.

So if you can afford to do it on your own, this is something you may want to consider. Discuss your concerns with the pediatrician and he will hopefully be able to lead you into the right direction. If it’s something he will outgrow or can be improved over time, you may be better off treating him on your own and not involving the school unless it becomes necessary.
