I saw a Jack in the Box commercial yesterday and I can’t identify the song playing in the background. I’ve heard it live before, but I can’t remember where. It’s the commercial where Jack is either talking about Italian food or ‘bonding’ with the Italians by talking about food, or something like that. I should have paid more attention to the commercial itself. Does anybody know what this song is? It’s really bothering me.
I dont’ know the answer, unfortunately, but I’d like to know – if it’s the same song I’m thinking of (there’s a couple Jack goes to Italy commercials out there). Do you mean the one with a line that is sung (with the orchestra), then it repeats, then gets expanded on?
It always seems to pop up in something about Italy. I think it might have been used in the movie of A Room With A View but I’m not sure. Maybe someone who owns it can look through the credits.

I think you might be thinking about ‘O Mio Babbino Caro’ from ‘Gianni Schicchi’. I believe I remember that one from another Jack commercial as well. And, thinking back, the song I’m thinking of was also used in a radio commercial for Canon printers. Somebody needs to come up with a commercial to song website.
