My friend has 'convicts' living in her house

Convict cichlids, that is, and the now have convict babies. A lot of babies. All growing and seem to be healthy. Other than setting up several more aquariums, what to do with this wealth of fishies? I’m thinking she should start calling a few pet stores and see if they will take them. I did this with an overflow of fish years ago, but I don’t know if the rules changed.

Check with local petstores, put an ad on Craigslist for private hobbyists, and maybe local offices and restaurants that have large chiclid tanks?

Good luck finding homes for all those fishies!

Look online for a cichlid hobbyist board (I’m sure one exists!) and put them up for adoption on there.

Where are you located? I might be interested in a fish…

I was all over the city at the time. I witnessed a bundle of crimes from looting and burning on up.

“a” fish? They’re siblings and can’t be split up! … Upstate NY, out in the middle of nowhere… We’re going to try pet stores first. I once donated a 14 inch long plecostomus to a tropical fish store, and he went into the most humongous aquarium I’ve ever seen. Darn nice of them to take ‘Hoover’, I would have PAID them to take ‘Hoover’.
