My son’s bed broke yesterday, and until we can get him a new one we’re letting him use an old one we had stored in the attic. My husband went up there and retrieved all the pieces, but couldn’t find the wood slats that hold the boxsprings. He had some wood and was able to make 2 slats, but the bed really needs atleast 3. So, he went back into the attic to make sure the missing slats weren’t up there. He came back with a wood plank that he said was on the floor next to where he found the bed. The plank looked familiar, but I couldn’t think of where I had seen it.
After he cut it down to fit and we were putting the bed together, it dawned on me why the plank looked familiar.
Me: " So, that plank was just laying on the attic floor?"
Hubby: " Yep"
Me: “It is the floor!!!” :smack:
It’s one of 80 year old tongue and groove planks that create the attic floor. How did he not notice all the other ones lying next to it?
