Sounds like she had an interesting life. Thanks for sharing with us.
My condolences as well.
Both of my maternal grandparents lived into their late 90’s. It’s never easy to lose a loved one, but knowing that they had a long, full life did help me get through.
Your grandmother was clearly an extraordinary woman who made the world a better place. I’m grateful she was here and sorry she’s gone.
Thanks again! Spoke to all three of her daughters and they’re all relieved that she went peacefully (even “beautifully”, one said).
Sorry for your loss, man. Thank you for sharing her story.
She sounds wonderful, and I’m so glad she and her family escaped the horrors of the Nazi regime.
Keep her in your heart iiandyiiii.
You and your family have an amazing treasure trove of menories to comfort you, to make you smile, and to challenge you all to live life to the fullest.
Grandma certainly lived an awe-inspiring life!

Oh, no, Andy. I’m so sorry.
Sorry to hear that, iiandyiiii. She sounds like an amazing woman.
She sounds super cool, what an amazing lady! Sorry for your loss :(.
Hugs to you, Andy. She sounded like a very remarkable woman. <3
ETA: Is this your grandfather? If he is, you got some incredible longevity genes. He also sounded like a great man.
Thanks once again to everyone for the kind words and feelings! And I’m doing fine – this was her time.
Yes, that’s him.
Your grandmother sounds like an awesome person – I’m very for your loss.
I’m sorry for your loss. She sounds like a treasure.
I’m very sorry for your loss.
And she was indeed an amazing woman – who both took and gave so much joy in her life.
What an incredible century!
Are there images of her artwork online?
Sorry to hear, your grandma sounded like a wonderful person to sit and have tea with. (Sidenote: I see that good writing runs in your family.)
Thanks once again to everyone!
Links to her artwork were requested – I couldn’t find much (the vast majority of her art career was before the internet), but here are three examples. The two paintings are from earlier in her life; later in her life she wasn’t able to paint any more, but made abstract collages of colors she cut out from magazines, art prints, and other sources.
Very nice! The last one reminds me a bit of Klee or Mondrian. Good stuff.
My condolences. RIP, Mrs. Miller.
