My hard drives are politically incorrect

If you’ve ever added a second hard drive or two CD-Roms (or other IDE devices) to you computer system, you’ve likely ran across the term ‘Master/Slave’ to describe the terms applied to the first and second devices in your system. Basically you need to designate the first/main drive as the master and the second drive as the ‘slave’. This must be done so the drives and the computer will play nice together.

It appears that if you’re doing this in L.A. County you’re politically incorrect.

Perhaps they should call one of them ‘Designated non-hierarchical administrator’ and the other one ‘Designated non-hierarchical facilitator’

Dominant/Submissive?

Top/Bottom?

<< A computer’s attention span is as long as its power cord. >>

All the more reason to leave them on Cable Select.

Or would some people think that that term had something to do with your choice of rope when being tied up?

Its not before time this racism was removed. Hopefully we’ll see more authorities banning racist references like this.

What? you mean my PC is not PC?

I just hope nobody notices the designation of connectors as male and female…

LOL BuddyToBud.

It seems to me that the computer industry could get away with using the terms, “Primary” and “Secondary”.

Just a thought.
