Some of you may be aware that this year I once again intended to visit the USA for a mooch around Rhode Island there to consume vast amounts of my username and my cousin “Clam Cakes”
This is not longer the case, why?
I have won a holiday for 2 persons on the Island of Guernsey for 2 weeks., this plus £1000 spending money.

Yeah? Well my car insurance company gives me a three week holiday every year and I get to pick my destination. So there.

Well…does my salary count?
No, but any extra bonuses would.
£1000 would be about $2k to $3k if I remember correctly, nice bonus for anyone’s standards.
My insurance gives me nothing.
But the company I get boxes from gifts me with 4, count them 4 weeks of all expenses paid vacation*. No extra £1000 or anything.
*Disclaimer - all expenses paid vacation is limited to staying home and not really buying anything I wouldn’t buy anyway.
