what does your hometown produce?
Coca-Cola
Airplane delays
Home Depot stores

Yankee carpetbaggers
St. Cloud, MN (and the area immediately surrounding it), where I live now, is one of the world’s largest producers of both granite and eyeglass lenses.
My home town produces a lot of … um. DUIs?
The finest table grapes in the world!!!
SunView tables grapes, grown in the San Jouquuin Valley, in Central California. Flames are being picked now, later this summer we’ll have Thompson’s and then my favorites, Sunsets—a yellow/purple round fruit with an undertone of pears. Crisp and flavorful with a mild skin and they’re just SO pretty. And, of course, seedless. My daddy has supervised this area’s crop from Richgrove to Wasco from Bakersfield to Orange Cove for the past 45 years!
Cell phones, golf clubs, and oil tankers (Qualcomm, Calloway, and Nasco, respectively), among many other things.
I think the original business model for membership warehouse stores (Costco, Sam’s Club) was developed here, too, by Sol Price of Price Club fame.
I believe Jack-in-the-Box also got it’s start here.
(Here is San Diego, by the way.)
My home town produces a lot of over-educated emigres to other states.
Politics.
Philadelphia Creamcheese, Tasty Kakes, Amoroso’s bread, parts for nuclear missiles, murder, litter, urban blight, little metal Liberty Bell pencil sharpeners, money(Philly Mint).
I would say cheesesteaks, but we’re the only city stupid enough to eat such a mass of grease and dead flesh(questionable wich type of flesh is used some times).
Cheap amatuer porn, any number of pharmacueticals(sp?), crystal meth, Pat Croce(shudder), DEAD MILKMEN(yeah!!!)
Ooo, ooo, I have a good one here. M&M’s. And Skittles. And various other Mars products. Check the small writing on any package…
We produce…
Well…
Produce.
Lots of farms, you see.
My home town makes tourists very happy.
We produce smoke meat and bagels, as well as computer games, telcom equipment and pharmaceutical products.
No sense whatsoever, when you think about it.
But somehow it all seems to work.
My current town (where I live now): Krusteaz pancakes and Oberto jerky.
My home town (where I grew up): Hmmm…they used to make Kaiser aluminum but I don’t know whether they still are or not…it’s been more profitable just to sell the electricity. (But wait till we run out of pop cans!)
Ah was born and raised in the south.
Well Southern California is in the south isn’t it? Actually you can’t get much further south without speaking Mexican. That hot hell hole makes salads. Grows quite a few of those veggies you eat in the winter.
Chickens, baby. Chickens and nylon.
Wheat…millions and millions of bushels of wheat…
Houston, TX: a lot of stinky air.
Humble, Texas
Humble Oil, which became part of Exxon, which became part of ExxonMobil.
