My wife and I took the kids out for nice trip to the science center downtown and then out to dinner, which is a fairly rare treat for all of us. Dinner was fine, the food was good, my son complained that everything took too long and my daughter was quiet once the food came, she likes to eat! It was after dinner waiting for our check when they got a little loud, and I felt a little self-conscious about the noise bothering the other diners. As one couple, approximately my age, was leaving, they stopped and told us our kids were adorable. Now, unless that is “childless couple code” for “obnoxious little monster”, I’m quite proud of the little tikes. I smiled quite broadly, and here I am posting about it. And I was worried they were bothering people!
I think most people are okay with kids being kids. It’s only a problem when they’re screaming and running around the restaurant. It sounds like your kids were just fine (and it sounds like they have great parents!)
