I’m sorry that your kitty is so sick. I hope she fights off that sinus infection. Give the little Nubes a pet and a scratch from me.
I’m very sorry to hear it. Last week we put down our beloved Pebbles, 19 years old and healthy as can be up until about last September when she got bladder cancer.
I’ll be thinking of you.
how are things going?
A kiss on the head for the little one, and hugs for you.
We love them so much, and their lives are so short…
We had her put to sleep this afternoon. She kept getting weaker and was obviously not getting any better. It was her kidneys, not the sinus infection causing the problem.
We miss her terribly, but we know that it was the kindest thing for her. She went peacefully.
Thanks for all the kind words, everyone.
So sorry.
i’m sorry.
That’s how are sweet orange Max went–almost a year ago today. We had the vet do a housecall, so he was somewhere warm and familiar, surrounded by his loved ones.
My deepest condolences.
Annie beat me to that. The link to it is on my Bookmarks, I agree, best thing he ever wrote.
Moonstasun, I’m so sorry for your loss. What of there was a special place where Doper pets go? If so, I hope she enjoys the company of all the kids I’ve watch leave and go there.
I’m sorry for your loss. Sending supporting thoughts your way.
I’m sorry.
Aww.
I need to go give my kitty extra pettins.
Oh moonstarssun, I just saw the news. I’m so sorry.
From the linked site:
Ouch. Sorry about Nubes, but you did well by her. The best you can really do is let them go properly. When I lost Silver, I had eye contact with her at the very end, when she died - painless, but quick. The last few days of care lets them know that you care. Renal failure really can’t be helped, and not dragging it out is a good thing.
I’m so very sorry. This happened to my Shaku a few months ago. His loss is still felt, and I’ve been crying while reading this thread.
You did the right thing. It’s hard, but waiting too long would have made him suffer a lot. Nubia and you were lucky to find each other.
My family has resolved that Kitty K, who is 10, will be put to sleep if anything serious goes wrong with her rather than prolong her misery and ours.
I will be sure and give her an extra headkiss tomorrow in remembrance of your late catfriend.
