I am so glad you have those memories. They will help in the days and weeks to come. I am so thankful I have mine with my Daddy. I miss that man everyday. I am a few years in but I still miss him. Give yourself plenty of time and grieve at your own pace. No one can tell you how to feel about it. Your grief is yours. Own it and it will help you get through the hard times. I am so sorry, she sounds like a wonderful woman who had a great life. You were lucky she was your Mom.
My deepest condolences. Your mother sounds like an amazing woman.
I am so very sorry. I went through something similar with my late father. The worst part, was that he lived for 6 years in a miserable condition. He had always been a very proud and independent man, but spent the last 6 years of his life bedridden, needing everyone else to do everything for him (including changing his diapers) & felt like he was a burden on everyone, in spite of all reassurances to the contrary. It was so heartbreaking seeing him so depressed at losing his dignity. So as difficult as it is to lose someone so quickly, I think it was a blessing for your mother. Love, light, & healing vibes to you.
Thank you for telling us about her.
Sorry for your loss, AHunter3.
My most sincere condolences.
Thank you for sharing your mother with us. She sounds like someone I would have enjoyed knowing. Also, it sounds like she got to go on her own terms and that is surely something all of us would like to have happen. I have a friend who is going through the end of life that Enola Gay described above, and you must be grateful your mother did not have to experience that, although of course you wish you could have had more time with her.
Sorry for your loss AHunter3. Our loved ones keep living through our remembrances of them.
So sorry to hear this. Sounds like she made the world a better place!
I’m sorry for your loss, AHunter. Peace to you and your family.
