I don’t think that’s what was said in post #23. I think the Count is saying that he can have the repair done, and it won’t cost him any more than the deductible.

I could be wrong, but that’s how I read it.

You’re right, that’s the case. I’ll drop the car off and pay $500 when I pick it up; its an insurance company approved shop and a price will be negotiated with them during the repair process.

As for getting back the deductable, in my state the insurance companies call that ‘subrogation’. I might find out if I get my deductable (or any part/percentage of it) back in… oh … say a year?
